Healthspan, not lifespan

What is the true benchmark of a good life? Is it living longer or staying healthy for longer? Find all the answers to the question: You Got Health?

Let’s talk about
healthspan

Despite Singapore’s advances in technology and health, we are currently seeing a ten-year gap between our healthspan and lifespan — the average life expectancy is 84 years old, while the average healthspan is 74*. This means that while we are adding more years to our lives, we might not be adding life to the years.

You Got Health aims to start a conversation about health by asking the questions we don’t ask enough. We question the different perceptions of healthy ageing, identify the key areas of concern, and discuss the various ways we can improve not just our lifespan, but healthspan too.
