Our commitment as a Group is to become a net zero asset owner by 2050. Singapore has contributed to this ambition by reducing the Weighted Average Carbon Intensity (WACI) of our investment portfolio.

We aim to accomplish our net-zero goal in a just and inclusive manner, particularly considering the significant challenges that emerging and developing countries face in their transition towards a low-carbon economy. In pursuit of this, we are working closely with the companies in our investment portfolio to support them in transforming their operations to become more carbon efficient.

We recognise that many emerging countries will be disproportionately affected by the negative impacts of climate change despite contributing significantly less to historic and current greenhouse gas emissions. As a Group, we support emerging markets by directing capital to these countries for infrastructure and capacity building to ensure the economic shift remains inclusive and minimises stranded assets.
