Enhancing Financial Literacy among Children

Financial-Literacy-for-children

One way to help people get the most out of life is to equip them with sound money management skills from young.

At Prudential, we do this through Cha-Ching - an award-winning financial literacy programme that instills good financial habits and promotes financial responsibility in children.

The programme was developed by Prudence Foundation, in partnership with Cartoon Network Asia and award-winning children’s education specialist, Dr. Alice Wilder. Cha-Ching takes an engaging approach to teach children four fundamental money management concepts: Earn, Save, Spend and Donate. Each Cha-Ching video uses the best practices in learning theory to help children learn through songs and real-life scenarios.

The Cha-Ching Curriculum, created in partnership with JA Asia Pacific, is taught across Asia and Africa, reaching over 600,000 students to date.

Volunteers from Prudential Singapore are trained by JA Singapore to deliver the Cha-Ching Curriculum to children from community partners and recruited through the JA Singapore’s school network and partners.
