How do I sign up?
PRUSafe Dengue can be purchased in the Pulse by Prudential app via its e-store, PRUShoppe.
To download the app, access the Apple App Store or Android Play Store here and create a login.
You will need to have your SingPass login details to sign up.
What are the key features of PRUSafe Dengue?
This is a micro-insurance plan providing highly affordable dengue coverage for 3 months.
- If you are diagnosed with Dengue Fever, you will receive a one-time lump sum payout under the Get Well Benefit of S$500 per policy term.
- You are also entitled to the Hospital Cash Benefit payout of S$200 for every 24 hours of hospitalisation, due to Dengue Fever, up to maximum of 5 days per policy term.
- You will be covered under this policy for death due to Dengue Fever, with a sum assured of S$20,000.
Note: We cover for Dengue Fever only and will not pay for any death or hospitalisation expenses incurred by the life assured as a result of any other cause or illness. Please refer to the policy contract for the exact terms and definitions. “Dengue Fever” means the diagnosis of dengue by a Registered Medical Practitioner confirmed by either a dengue antigen (NS1 Antigen) test or a dengue serology test. The diagnosis of Dengue Fever as stated above must be the first diagnosis in Singapore within the policy term.
Who is eligible for PRUSafe Dengue?
You are eligible to buy PRUSafe Dengue microinsurance cover if you are a Singapore resident with a valid NRIC/ FIN between the ages 18 to 69 (age last birthday). Each eligible customer will only be incepted for one PRUSafe Dengue plan at any one-time.
You will need to have your SingPass login details to sign up.
What will be the premium payable and the payment modes available for this policy?
Premium is S$5.00, inclusive of the prevailing rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Please note that the prevailing rate of GST is subject to change. Payment can be made in-app via Credit Card.
When will my coverage commence and how long will I be covered under PRUSafe Dengue?
The coverage is for a period of 3 months from the date you sign up via the Pulse by Prudential app.
A waiting period of 10 days applies, during which you are not covered. After that, the benefits under the plan will be payable.
The coverage is for a period of 3 months from the date you sign up.
What will I be covered for under the Death Benefit?
If you are diagnosed with Dengue Fever and pass away within 14 days from the date of diagnosis, we will pay the sum assured of S$20,000.
The policy ends once a claim for this benefit is paid.

What will I be covered under the Daily Hospital Cash benefit?
If you are diagnosed with Dengue Fever and is hospitalised, we will pay S$200 per day of hospitalisation up to a maximum of 5 days per policy term.
Each day of hospitalisation is a full 24-hour period.

What will I be covered under the Get Well Benefit?
If the life assured is diagnosed with Dengue Fever, we pay a one-time benefit of S$500 per policy term.

Is there a free-look period if I wish to cancel the policy without penalty?
Yes, you have a 7-day free-look period starting from the inception date (coverage start date) of your policy to review the terms and conditions.
If you decide that this policy is not suitable for your needs, you may cancel the policy within the 7 days period by accessing PRUServices > PRUSafe Dengue > and select the “Cancel Policy” option that is available in the Pulse by Prudential app.
Once you make the cancellation, we will refund the premium you have paid.
Do note that the option to cancel your policy is only within the 7-day free-look period and that cancellations can only be made via PRUServices in the Pulse by Prudential app.
You will not have the option to cancel your policy after this 7-day free-look period.
Is there any waiting period?
Yes, there is a waiting period for the PRUSafe Dengue microinsurance coverage. We will not cover you if the signs and symptoms of Dengue Fever start within 10 days from the cover start date of the policy.
How do I make a claim?
For Hospital Cash Benefit and Get Well Benefit, please access My Policy > PRUSafe Dengue > Submit a claim in the Pulse by Prudential app. After filling out the form and submitting required documentation, your claims will be processed.
For Death Claims, please access the Death Claim submission forms on our website https://www.prudential.com.sg/services/claims/how-to-submit-a-claim. You may email to pulse.ecosystem@prudential.com.sg or submit the documents at the Customer Service Center.

Is PRUSafe Dengue automatically renewable?
No, the PRUSafe Dengue plan is not automatically renewable after the 3 months policy term has ended. You can, however, re-purchase the policy again in the app to extend your coverage.
